Five Hospitalized In Late-Night Shooting At Virginia Restaurant: Police

Police in Virginia are investigating an overnight shooting that left five people injured late on Friday night.

Officers from the Lynchburg Police Department were called shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 to BeeBee’s Spot in the 6100 block of Fort Avenue, when witnesses reported hearing shots fired while on the outdoor patio. 

Upon arrival, police say that they initially found three people suffering from gunshot wounds, who were treated by Lynchburg Fire Department medics before being taken to the Lynchburg General Hospital for additional treatment and evaluation of undisclosed injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.

Shortly after, two more victims arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds that were found to be connected to the incident.

The shooting remains under investigation.

No details about the victims, shooters, or possible motive has been released.

More information is expected to be released.
